Covid Impact: Study on Local Cities and Municipalities in Belgium

During the Covid-19 pandemic, a large-scale study was conducted in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Patrick De Pelsmacker, Professor of Marketing, to examine the crisis's impact on the local economies of cities and municipalities in Belgium. More than 90 cities and municipalities participated simultaneously in this study, which focused on the economic consequences of the pandemic, such as loss of revenue, business closures, and the impact on local employment. The study provided valuable insights that helped local governments develop economic recovery strategies and adapt their policies to the changing economic conditions.

Research for Cultural Centers and Venues in Belgium

Culture21 is a research initiative aimed at gathering insights into visitor experiences in cultural centers and venues. More than 160 cultural centers and theaters simultaneously participated in this study, ranging from small local venues to larger cultural institutions. Cultuur21 provides valuable data that helps cultural centers improve their programs and services, better catering to the needs of their audiences. Through personalized surveys, these centers can compare their results with other institutions in Belgium, enhancing their impact and better serving their communities. The study offers anonymous data on satisfaction, audience experience, and the role of culture in the community, allowing cultural centers to refine their strategies further.

Swim 22: Study for Public Swimming Pools

 

 

Swim 22 was a large-scale pilot study in which more than 200 swimming pools in the Netherlands and Belgium participated. The study aimed to gather insights into visitor experiences at public swimming pools and provided valuable data that helped improve facilities and services, better aligning them with the needs of their visitors. Through customized surveys, swimming pools were able to compare their results with other locations. The pilot offered insights into visitor satisfaction, the quality of the facilities, and their impact on the community. Swim 22 will soon be expanded to other European countries to support more swimming pools in optimizing their strategies and services.

With over 1,000 simulparticipating libraries across various European countries, Sentobib provides valuable data that helps libraries improve their services and better meet the needs of their users. The study uses personalized surveys and enables libraries to compare their results with other institutions, both nationally and internationally. The results are processed anonymously and provide extensive information on various aspects of library usage, such as collections, services, and the impact of libraries on the community.

In 2024, more than 200 museums participated, ranging from small regional institutions to major international museums like the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Sentomus provides museums with valuable data to improve their exhibitions and services, helping them better meet the needs of their visitors. Through personalized surveys, museums can compare their results with other institutions across Europe, strengthening their position within the cultural sector. The research offers museums concrete, anonymous data on the perception of their collections, visitor experience, and societal impact, helping them refine their audience strategies.
